Description
After hotel pick ups, we head to Sabará, a city located 20 km from Belo Horizonte, wherever we find the beautiful churches of N. Senhora do Ó, considered the little princess of the Baroque of Minas Gerais, Nossa Senhora do Carmo, in which we find works of Aleijadinho, the Theater House of the Opera and the Church Nossa Senhora do Rosário (it was frequented only by slaves). Then the tour continues to Congonhas, located 80 km from Belo Horizonte. Tourists visit the Church of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos and the main works of Antônio Francisco Lisboa (Aleijadinho) which are: The 12 prophets made of soapstone and the Wood Sculptures of the Interior of the Chapels of the Via Sacra that are located outside the Church. Return to hotels in the late afternoon.

Does what it says on the tin. Aleijadinho alone makes the trip worthwhile. A really practical way to get your bearings on day one. The Round trip transportation to most downtown Belo Horizonte hotels is a smart touch. The audio cut out on a couple of stretches. There is room to improve, but no regrets.
