Description

Drive south through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, nearly 400 meters below sea level. Drive along the Dead Sea shore to Masada and take a cable car ride to visit the ancient fortress where the Zealots last stood against the Romans before committing mass suicide in 73 AD. Then descend by cable car. Arrive at the shores of the Dead Sea to enjoy the therapeutic qualities of Dead Sea mud, as well as the unique experience of floating in the sea's rich mineral waters.

Itinerary:
Drive south through the Judean Desert, passing the Inn of the Good Samaritan and the point that marks "sea level," with the ancient city of Jericho in the distance, to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at nearly 1,300 feet (400 meters) below sea level.

Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea and ascend by cable car to Masada, Israel's most important archaeological park, to understand why someone would venture into the desert to build a magnificent fortress on top of a lifeless mountain.

Tour the fortified palace, water cisterns, bathhouse, and synagogue where the Romans, after triumphantly destroying Jerusalem, sent an entire legion to confront a small group of Zealots who made their last stand before committing mass suicide in 73 AD.

Descend by cable car and reach the shore of the Dead Sea to enjoy the therapeutic qualities of Dead Sea mud, as well as the unique experience of floating in the sea's mineral-rich waters.

Return to the pickup point at the FINAL of the day.

Volvería a hacerlo

A comida lá dentro é caríssima, melhor levar algo.

Very good

Does what it says on the tin. The guide leaned on a script quite a bit, but explained things well. I wanted more time at Jerusalem CityPASS. The pre booking support answered all our questions clearly. The only miss was no water available, especially in that heat. Still recommended.
