We pick up at the hotel and go to Tijuca Forest. It's almost a 4 hour tour.
Located in the center of the city of Rio de Janeiro, the park was created in 1861 by decree of Emperor D. Pedro II to reforest an area previously destroyed by sugar cane and coffee plantations. The area is home to different species of small animals, such as squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, foxes and armadillos. Plus a million different butterflies, birds and reptiles. Remember that they are wild animals, so you should keep your distance and never feed them.
Enjoy the rainforest and learn about its rich biodiversity. On the way, admire the Vista Chinesa viewpoint, the Taunay waterfall and the Mayrink Chapel. Have a beautiful viewpoint of the south of Rio de Janeiro from Vista Chinesa. Pass the Taunay waterfall, which tumbles over rough rock and into a calm pool below. Stop at the Mayrink Chapel, built in 1860 and known for its pink facade. Take a break to see the monolithic Pedra da Gávea and the statue of Christ the Redeemer from afar.
Next, we go to the Botanical Gardens. Explore the collection of more than 7,000 species of tropical plants, bromeliads, orchids and native Brazilian plants at the Botanical Garden.
At the FINAL of the tour, we return to the hotel.

Boa opção para conhecer Rio de Janeiro. Ótimo que venha com transporte ida e volta nos hotéis. Ficamos sem palavras em Floresta da Tijuca. A informação prévia sobre o ponto de encontro poderia ser mais clara. Recomendo, com as ressalvas que fiz.

No podría haber salido mejor. La organización se notó, cero improvisación. El guía fue un capítulo aparte: sabía muchísimo y contestó todas nuestras preguntas. Se agradece que venga con traslado desde y hasta los hoteles. Ya lo recomendé a dos amigos que viajan el mes que viene.

Recomendable, sabiendo qué esperar. El guía hablaba muy rápido y a veces se perdía el hilo. Ojo con el calzado, conviene algo con buen agarre. Lo único: el grupo era un poco más grande de lo que esperábamos. Lo recomendaría igual.

Saímos satisfeitos. O transporte ida e volta nos hotéis resolveu nosso dia. Tudo foi resolvido digitalmente, não precisou imprimir nada. Chegar em Encante foi impressionante. A natureza do lugar desconecta você completamente. O trecho na van parece longo. Boa experiência no balanço geral.

Nada grave, pero vale saberlo antes de reservar.
