Description

The Cristo Redentor statue, at the top of Corcovado Mountain (710 m/2330 ft), is certainly Brazilâs most famous landmark, located in the first sector of the Tijuca Forest National Park. Our hiking starts at Parque Lage, a park covered with atlantic rainforest, with a beautiful and imponent old mansion and many century-old palm trees. The ascent lasts about two and a half hours, and from up there the view is very rewarding and itâs considered to be one of Rioâs most privileged belvederes. On our way back, the descent will be made by car or van.

Highlight of the trip

Exactly what we were looking for. We had enough time at Rio de Janeiro Observation Deck to take photos without rushing. Not the cheapest, but justified. We took loads of photos, the route hits all the right spots. I have already recommended it to two friends travelling next month.
