The tower is 55.86 m tall (183.27 ft) from the ground on the low side and 56.70 m tall (186.02 ft) on the high side, around 3.99 degrees leaning. In the event of a long queue or for any other reason, if it is not possible to visit the interior of the Cathedral, you will be offered a guided tour of Piazza dei Cavalieri.

Appropriate clothing is recommended for visiting places of worship
For small groups, up to 8 pax, the Tour companion could be replaced by an English-speaking driver-guide, keeping the entire excursion program unchanged.
In times of great influx of visitors, despite the reservation, access to the tower may suffer delays. For security reasons, access to the Tower is regulated according to the number of people inside.
The Leaning Tower: Rules and Regulations
The visit lasts about 30 minutes - no extension is allowed.
Children under 8 years of age will not be admitted under any circumstances. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and hold hands at all times. Teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18 can only go up the Tower if they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Visiting the Tower requires considerable physical effort. Please note that the spiral staircase has about 300 steps. It is strongly recommended that people with heart disorders or people suffering from health problems do not visit the Tower.
Clients must be at the meeting point 15 minutes in advance.
Clients with motor disabilities or wheelchair users are encouraged to notify the tour organizer in advance and seek medical advice to ensure suitability of services. Our tours and transportation are not suitable for people with motor disabilities or wheelchair users, so to prioritize the safety and well-being of all involved, the driver and tour manager retain the right to decline participation if they believe it may compromise safety. This decision rests solely with them, and no compensation will be provided in such cases. By accepting these terms, clients agree to respect decisions made by staff regarding participation.
Please note: this tour involves uphill and downhill walking routes in hilltop villages. Therefore we regret to inform you that it is not suitable for people with wheelchairs or with impaired mobility

The meeting point is at 13:15 hs in Piazzale Montelungo, Florence.
How to reach the Meeting Point from Santa Maria Novella Station Square: Take "Via Valfonda" (Valfonda street) and go straight on at the FINAL of the street, until you see the Fortress (Fortezza da Basso). Cross the street in front of you and keep your left side, until you see on the right side Piazzale Montelungo (big square with car and Bus parking)
An Assistant waits for you wearing blue clothing, at the FINAL of the ramp connecting with the railway station.
It is mandatory to arrive at the meeting point at the mentioned check in time. In AFFAIR of delay it will not be possible to COMBINE the Tour, nor to have a refund or reschedule the tour.
