Responsible for the production of 95% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay, and for 24% of the whole Brazilian consumption, this binational enterprise built by workers, technical operators and engineers from Brazil and Paraguay proves day after day its magnitude in the national and the international scene.
Besides the production of energy, Itaipu also stands as a symbol of environment preservation. The company runs the Biological Haven Bela Vista, continuous reforestation programs and projects that foster fish production as well as wild animal reproduction.
On this tour you will do the Panoramic Tour. As the ticket is not included, you will pay for it on the spot.
* The Panoramic tour: Watch a documentary film on the power plant. See the dam and spillway from the central observation deck (without entering the facility).
The grandeur of a plant built between two countries, when revealed in numbers, is surprising: the Itaipu dam is 7,919 meters long and 196 meters high. But when viewed from close up and from various angles in a tour around the Itaipu Panoramic, it impresses even more and guarantees a unique and striking experience. In addition to the privileged view of the spillway at the top of the dam, the path still allows contact with nature and beautiful landscapes within the Itaipu Tourist Complex.

Buen paseo
Muy buena experiencia en general. El paso por Rio Paraná nos gustó mucho. Que venga con guías profesionales en inglés y portugués lo hace más completo. Para lo que incluye, el precio es más que razonable. Todo el trámite fue digital, no tuvimos que imprimir nada. Le pondría un pero al tiempo libre, se sintió corto en algunas paradas. Nada grave, pero vale saberlo antes de reservar.

Does what it says on the tin. The pace was comfortable, neither rushed nor dull. I compared prices before booking and this was the best deal. Great that roundtrip Transfer to Most Hotels in Iguassu Falls Brazilian Side was included. The talk at Foz de Iguacu really stayed with us. At rush hour the traffic stretches the route out quite a bit. Nothing serious, but worth knowing before you book.

Muy contentos con la elección. Itaipú fue una sorpresa, no estaba en nuestros planes. La parada en Puente de Represa de Itaipú fue lo que más nos gustó. Se puede hacer tranquilo sin estar en estado físico. Ojalá todos los tours fueran así.

* You will only be able to do the Panoramic Tour. It will not be possible to do the Technical Tour (Itaipu Special).
