Description

Since the founding of Berlin, the Jewish community has always been present. Although the passing of the centuries has made them live better and worse moments. Being expelled already in Prussian times, they were allowed and denied their permanence on multiple occasions until Nazism wrote the saddest period in its history. The Berlin Jewish Museum and Quarter tour will make you visually enjoy Jewish culture, as well as understand aspects of their life that, at times, were not easy at all. The tour will take place with a maximum of 15 people per group. We will start our tour in the Kreuzberg neighborhood, in front of the main entrance of the Jewish Museum. We will go inside with the guide to see the permanent exhibition up close. Then, we will move by public transport to visit the New Synagogue of Berlin, which shines with its gold in the sunlight. We will visit the Jewish Cemetery, where we will not find any tomb, but a sculpture, since despite being a holy field, Germany dominated by the Nazi regime looted it in 1943. The tour of the Jewish quarter of Berlin is a perfect visit to learn many details about life before and after the persecution, for which many ended up in different concentration or extermination camps, such as Sachsenhausen.

What effect did the famous 'Night of Broken Glass' and the 'Wannsee Conference' have on the Jewish population of Berlin? How the Jewish people gained privileges during the time of the great Kaiser Wilhelm and how they were repealed during his persecution in the Third Reich, are questions that we will answer throughout our tour.

We will be able to see the inner courtyards and modernist courtyards of Berlin, located in Hackescher Markt, where we will FINAL the tour.

This tour is carried out with the support of lis10app technology. We give better quality to the tour and respect other visitors.

Nothing to fault, everything went as described. Great for a first visit to the city. We would never have made it to Miracle Women Rosenstrasse ABOVE on our own. If you are in Berlin, do not miss it.

Cumple y sobra

A wonderful experience

Absolutely worth every penny. It costs more than going alone, but it saves you all the planning. Timings were well judged, never felt rushed. We learned more about the city in a few hours than from three guidebooks. Five well earned stars.

All went well, bar one detail I mention below. The pre booking support answered all our questions clearly. I would have liked a little longer at the last stop. A good experience on balance.

Excellent from start to finish. A really practical way to get your bearings on day one. Of the whole route, Broken Glass is what I remember most. You could tell it was properly organised. If you are in Berlin, do not miss it.
