Description
Upon arrival at Pompeii Archaeological Park, you'll meet your licensed English-speaking guide and enter the site with priority access. During an approximately 2½-hour guided walking tour, discover the remarkably preserved remains of the Roman city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Walk through ancient streets, explore the Forum, admire temples, theaters, bath complexes, shops, and elegant private homes while your guide brings Pompeii's fascinating history and everyday life vividly to life.
Depending on site accessibility and ongoing archaeological activities, you may also have the opportunity to explore some of Pompeiis newest excavation areas. These recently opened sections continue to reveal extraordinary discoveries and offer fresh insight into daily life in the ancient city. Possible highlights include the renowned House of the Vettii, celebrated for its remarkable frescoes and elegant interiors, and the famous Thermopolium, one of the best-preserved Roman street-food establishments ever discovered.
You'll also encounter the moving plaster casts of Pompeiis victims, providing a powerful reminder of the events that forever changed the city.
At the conclusion of the guided visit, enjoy some free time for lunch before continuing with your English-speaking driver toward Mount Vesuvius. Reaching an elevation of approximately 3,280 feet (1,000 meters), you'll begin the hike to the crater's edge, following a scenic trail through volcanic landscapes and unique geological formations.
From the summit, take in sweeping views of the Bay of Naples, Capri, and the surrounding coastline before returning comfortably to Positano.
Begin your day with an early departure from Positano and enjoy the advantages of a truly semi-private experience, limited to just 10 guests. By arriving at Pompeii ahead of the busiest hours, you'll experience the archaeological park at its bestâquieter, more comfortable, and with extra time to appreciate its extraordinary history.

Does what it promises
Good, with ups and downs. I did not expect priority access to Mount Vesuvius National Park (11,68 per person) to be included, a nice bonus. You could tell it was properly organised. At rush hour the traffic stretches the route out quite a bit. Worth it, knowing the above.

Muy recomendable
Salimos encantados.

Exceeded expectations
One of the highlights of our trip to Positano. The licensed English-speaking guide at Pompeii archaeological site was better than I expected. We stayed on walking around Baía de Nápoles after dinner. If you are in Positano, do not miss it.
