Description

Food lovers of the world, unite! Whether you are an experienced gourmand or just a food lover wishing to discover more about Italian cuisine and Roman gastronomic traditions, COMBINE our local cuisine expert guide at our meeting point. We will start with a walking excursion, in a group of no more than 12 people. We will meet mid-morning and enjoy a delightful walking tour along several local food markets, pantries, and ice cream parlors in the Campo De’ Fiori, Trastevere, and Jewish Ghetto areas. We know that exercising will make us hungry, for that reason we thought you would be interested in making some stops. For example, to enjoy a freshly baked crispy slice of pizza bianca (Roman's own version of focaccia) cut in half horizontally and filled with fresh mortadella: a tradition, more Roman than the Colosseum, an easy snack that locals love. loves. What if you try a supplì? This small rice croquette with a heart of tomato sauce and melted mozzarella is everyone's favorite street food. Pasta all' amatriciana, or cacio e pepe will also be included on the list, as will some dishes from traditional Roman Jewish food: carciofo alla giudia, a Jewish-style fried artichoke that resembles a small sunflower or fried pumpkin flowers ( second season). And save room for dessert, because we won't skip our serving of artisanal ice cream!

Vale a pena

Not to be missed

One of the best things we did on the whole trip. The pre booking support answered all our questions clearly. The mozzarella and Gelato Tasting is worth it on its own. Great value for money.
