The tour begins at Plaça de Catalunya, where your local guide will welcome you.
From here, you will walk down Portal de lâÀngel, learning about the first stories of the old town before reaching the first stop: Els 4 Gats, one of the most iconic restaurants of the Modernist era. You will enjoy a traditional vermouth accompanied by classic tapas.
You will NEXT continue toward the Cathedral area, walking to La Pineda, a historic deli where you will taste freshly sliced cured ham, âpan con tomateâ, and a glass of wine.
The walk continues along Carrer del Pi and Avinyó, with explanations about the evolution of the neighborhood until you reach the legendary Bar La Plata, one of the oldest bars in the Gothic Quarter. Here you will experience drinking wine from a âporrónâ, paired with fried fish, their signature dish for decades.
The gastronomic experience ends at Café de lâAcadèmia, where you will enjoy a full selection of traditional Catalan dishes paired with wine and cava.
The tour finishes in the Gothic Quarter after nearly three hours of blending gastronomy and history.

We booked this on a whim and it ended up being our favourite day. We changed the date two days ahead with no fuss. We got more out of 4 Gastronomic Stops than we expected. We had no idea about the history of Barcelonaâs Historic Centre Small Group. We took loads of photos, the route hits all the right spots. Thank you for a great day out.

We spent the evening talking about how good it had been. We paid noticeably less than other options and the experience was just as good. Take sunscreen and water, the sun is fierce. At Barcelonas Historic Centre Small Group we just stood there in silence, taking it in. They emailed all the details the day before, very clear. If only every tour were run like this.

Es de esas cosas que uno recuerda años después. Nos dejaron en Hoteles sin ninguna vuelta de más. Conocer un poco de Puntual en el camino fue un plus. Si lo comparás con hacerlo por tu cuenta, conviene. Lo de guía experta en inglés resolvió todo. Una experiencia que vale cada minuto.
