Start with a short visit to Ruse, one of Bulgarias most elegant cities, where you will explore highlights of the Old Town, including Freedom Square and the historic Sveta Troitsa Cathedral.
Continue to the traditional village of Arbanasi, known for its distinctive architecture, old houses and picturesque atmosphere. Enjoy a short walk through the village before continuing towards Veliko Tarnovo.
Once the medieval capital of Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo is dramatically set among the hills surrounding the Yantra River. Explore Tsarevets Fortress with your guide and learn about its history as the center of the medieval Bulgarian capital and former seat of Bulgarian rulers.
After visiting the fortress, enjoy free time in Veliko Tarnovo to explore the historic center at your own pace, have lunch, browse local shops or simply enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town.

Not to be missed
Could not have gone better. We had enough time at Bucarest Embalse del Yeso to take photos without rushing. The guide answered even the oddest questions with real detail. We would book again.
