Designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, the tower is over 700 years old and stands at 95 metres tall - an important defense feature to see enemies. It was also a jail at times, and you can still see the rooms where Cosimo de Medici and Savonarola were imprisoned.

We found it well run and correct. Cosimo de Medici y Savonarola feels like another planet. Nice touch including multilingual audio commentary in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. Only gripe: the group was a bit larger than we expected.
