Description
Journey deep underground and discover the history of Dover Street station, now known as Green Park station. First opened in 1906 and situated at the edge of Mayfair and in the vicinity of three of London’s Royal Parks, Dover Street station became immensely popular due to its prime location. In 1933, the station was renamed to ‘Green Park’.
This guided tour will show you Dover Street, a station hidden within a station. Learn about the history of the station and the significant role it played in World War II. See vintage signs and tiles that were last seen by commuters in the 1930s and discover the former passageways and lift landings that were once used by the public.
