From start to finish you’ll have an English-speaking tour leader with you who is an expert in this region of Italy. In this acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site, your Tour Leaders will deal with the lines and the entrance tickets while you take in your first view of the half-buried city encased in rubble and ash.
After skipping the lines you’ll meet your own personal archaeologist. They’ll guide you along the paved streets that have been preserved for 1500 years under 20ft of volcanic ash. Unlike a museum, you’ll be able to enter the homes, baths, food stores and outdoor theaters which have preserved so much of ancient life.

Hike Mt. Vesuvius or Explore with a Geologist
After visiting Pompeii, the bus will take you to the Mount Vesuvius area, home to one of the few active volcanoes in Europe. When booking, you will need to choose one of the two available experiences in the options section:
Hike to the Great Crater:
Ascend through the volcanic landscape to the crater and, when visibility permits, enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, Capri, and Sorrento.
Guided Geologist Walk:
Enjoy a more moderate hike accompanied by an expert geologist, who will help you discover the features and wonders of the volcanic landscape.
Please CHOOSE your preferred option before completing your booking, as it will not be possible to change your experience on the day of the tour.

La pasamos bien, lo recomiendo con un par de salvedades. El guía hablaba muy rápido y a veces se perdía el hilo. Para lo que incluye, el precio es más que razonable. No teníamos idea de la historia de Vesubio. Lo único mejorable fue la espera al inicio, arrancamos unos veinte minutos tarde. Igual lo volvería a hacer.

Clients must arrive at the designated meeting point 20 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time and present their tour voucher to the tour coordinator/guide. We are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals cannot be refunded.
- Our coordinators will be wearing blue polo shirts or jackets to be easily recognizable at the meeting point.
- Extra measures may be implemented due to heightened global security. As a result, we may experience delays in getting through mandatory security checks when entering the venue. Extra measures may also restrict the size of bags that can be brought inside. To avoid disruptions or possible denied entry, we strongly suggest that you avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks on your tour.
