The Barcelona LAquàrium is the perfect place to find out about the seabed and all its different species. Youll learn about them through the 66 Mediterranean and tropical tanks which are home to 11,000 animals from some 450 different species. The most spectacular of all is the immense Oceanarium, a unique installation in Europe, five meters deep and thirty-six in diameter, crossed by a transparent tunnel eighty meters long where you can walk a few centimeters from sharks, sea breams, moray eels, sunfish, and many other species.
With your ticket you can also access the permanent exhibitions, Planeta Aqua and Explora, which will show you the importance of the aquatic environment on planet earth and where children can discover the marine world through the senses. On the way out you will find many services at your disposal such as cafeteria, store, auditorium and photo souvenirs among others.

We left satisfied. Barcelona alone makes the trip worthwhile. Great for a first visit to the city. At rush hour the traffic stretches the route out quite a bit. I would do it again anyway.
