Journey through some of the most complex visions of contemporary art in a space that is open to the exchange of ideas and experimentation. Set out around a landmark cultural plaza that includes a Gothic chapel and the iconic museum building by Richard Meier, the MACBA's permanent collections include works from the mid-20th century onwards with a focus on post-1945 Catalan and Spanish art.
The 2023 program explores complex visions of contemporary art through visual arts, performance, film, music or events. From 14th December 2022 to mid 2024, you can visit the MACBA Collection: Prelude, with a poetic intention.
Discover MACBAs temporary exhibitions such as: the first exhibition dedicated to María Teresa Hincapié: If This Were a Beginning of Infinity, Ayuujkjä'äy ëy Konk. A fable based on a Mixe myth to address a new perspective on history, both available until 26th February, Josep Grau - Garriga: Dialogue with Light, available until 11th September 2023 or Bouchra Khalili: Between Circles and Constellations from 17th February to 21st May.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED
The museum ticket desk provides magnetic loops for people with impaired hearing who use hearing aids. Visits with Catalan sign language (LSC) or the possibility of an interpreter.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
MACBA has two eyeglasses available for people with impaired vision, which can be obtained from the museum ticket desk.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building. We also have water bowls for dogs, which can be requested at the museum ticket desk.
Tours for groups must be arranged by appointment (Limited space), by phone at 93 412 14 13 or by mail at educacio@macba.cat. You will always have the possibility of touching some of the works with gloves. We will accompany you.
ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE PHYSICALLY IMPAIRED
MACBA has ramps, lifts that connect the different floors and seats on every floor. It also has adapted toilets.
Visitors have access to two wheelchairs, which can be requested at the museum ticket desk.
Visitors who are confined to a wheelchair can request eyeglasses at the museum ticket desk, enabling them to examine the works more easily.
COGNITIVE ACCESSIBILITY
Upon request, guided tours of the exhibitions can be arranged for people with mental, intellectual or psychological disabilities.
