Description

A walk through an imposing ravine, in which you will have the unique opportunity to visit not only the hill of 7 colors, but also the majestic hill of 14 colors on the same day!
We will travel to the majestic hill of 14 colors, also known as the Serranías del Hornocal. This excursion will allow us to appreciate the most impressive colors of Northern Argentina, its culture, its unique towns and its people.
We will depart from the city of Salta, leaving through the central access of the city, taking RN 9 and then entering the municipality of General Güemes, through RN 34. Later, we will enter the sister province of Jujuy, where We will have the opportunity to visit the great Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its imposing landscapes and its picturesque towns such as Volcán, Purmamarca where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores; Tilcara; Humahuaca, the largest town in the ravine; Uquía, a small town where the church of San Francisco de Paula is located, dating from the 17th century, where the ancient paintings of the Arquebuceros Angels reside, coming from Cuzco-Peru, painted at the time of colonization; Huacalera, where we step on the imaginary cut of the Tropic of Capricorn and finally, La Paleta del Pintor in Maimará.
Instead of visiting the town of Humahuaca as on the regular excursion, we will move to the Serranias del Hornocal. In this case, we recommend bringing your own picnic for lunch once you return. We meet the group to begin the way back, alternating stops.
During the tour there are stops to walk and take photos!

Recomendo

Vale a pena, sabendo disso.

Solid choice

Happy with it, even if not everything was perfect. Of the whole route, Colores is what I remember most. They emailed all the details the day before, very clear. We had enough time at Travel to take photos without rushing. For what is included, the price is more than fair. The guide handled the group well. At rush hour the traffic stretches the route out quite a bit.

We enjoyed it

Really enjoyable, though there is room for improvement. We loved the Argentina area. The guide was fine, though the microphone kept cutting out. Some stops need more shade while you wait. Recommended overall.
