Description
Itinerary:
Travel along the Mediterranean coast along the coastal highway to your first stop in Caesarea, once the largest city in Judea. Here, on the ruins of an ancient anchorage, Herod built a splendid harbor, which he dedicated to Augustus Caesar.
See the Roman amphitheater, with its marvelous acoustics and still used for concerts today; the remains of the Crusader City; the Hippodrome, a Byzantine street with giant headless statues; and the Roman Aqueduct, which are part of the archaeological finds at the site.
Continue driving north through Haifa to stop and take in the overview of the magnificent Bahá'í shrine and its gardens. The terraced gardens cascade down the mountain toward the city and Israel's largest port, filled with colorful flowers and landscape designs.
The next stop is Rosh Hanikra, the northernmost point of Israel's Mediterranean coast, near the Lebanese border. Descend by cable car to the network of limestone grottos created by the constant waves against the rocks.
On the return trip south, stop in Acre (Akko), the largest Crusader city in Israel. See the walls and moat, rebuilt and repaired by El Jazzar, which prevented even Napoleon from conquering the city; the prison used under Turkish rule; and the gallows later used under the British Mandate to hang Jews who violated the British law limiting Jewish immigration to Palestine after World War II.
We will visit the Knights' Halls, the Crusader underground city, and the authentic White Market, featuring oriental food and spices.
At the FINAL of the day, return to your hotel.

Excellent
Faultless, honestly. Nice touch including admissions. The guide told us stories you will not find in any guidebook.

Nos encantó
No podría haber salido mejor.

Perfect intro to the city
Absolutely worth every penny. I did not expect roundtrip transportation from major Tel Aviv hotels to be included, a nice bonus. The guide managed the group impeccably, nobody got left behind. It helped us decide where to go back to later in the week.
